Build contact lists

A contact list is a fixed set of phone numbers you control: VIP customers, last month's buyers, a branch's regulars. Campaigns sent to a list go to exactly those numbers.

Create a list

1. In the portal open Contact lists → New list.
2. Give it a name and an optional description, then save.

Add contacts

Open the list. Three ways to fill it:

• Paste numbers — one number per line, with the country code (for example +9715…). Duplicates and invalid numbers are dropped.
• Add from inbox — pick a label from your STS Connect Inbox contacts; everyone carrying that label who has a phone number is added.
• One at a time — add a name and number by hand.

Remove a contact from the list with the delete icon on their row. This does not delete the contact from your inbox.

Use a list in a campaign

In WhatsApp Campaigns → New, choose the list under Contact list. When a list is chosen, the audience label is ignored. Opted-out contacts are still skipped.

Lists or labels?

• Use a label (and subscribers) for audiences that grow on their own.
• Use a list when you need to send to a specific set of numbers, including numbers that never wrote to you.
