Add live chat to your website

Paste one script and start chatting with visitors.

The website widget adds a chat bubble to your site. Visitors write to you without leaving the page, and you answer from the inbox.

Steps

  1. Open the STS Connect Inbox and go to Settings → Inboxes → Add Inbox.
  2. Choose Website. Enter a name, your website's domain, a welcome heading and a short message.
  3. Add the agents who should answer and press Finish.
  4. Copy the script shown on the last step and paste it before the closing </body> tag of every page (in your site's layout or theme file).

Reload your site. The bubble appears in the bottom corner.

Customize

Open the inbox settings to change the widget colour, bubble position, welcome text, and whether visitors must leave their name and email before chatting. Under Business hours you can show an "away" message outside working hours, and under Pre-chat form you can ask for details first.

Common platforms

  • WordPress: paste the script in Appearance → Theme file editor → footer.php, or use any "insert headers and footers" plugin.
  • Shopify: Online Store → Themes → Edit code → theme.liquid, before </body>.
  • Wix / Squarespace / Webflow: use the site-wide custom code / footer code setting.
